In the spring of 2015, sponsored and hosted by the region of the Jacetania, the draft authorization, approval, fitness and equestrian trail signaling path of the Holy Grail by Jacetania "and alternative routes starts.
It is about creating an itinerary for equestrian use, but also can be traveled on foot or by bike, and link those enclaves of the region in which tradition and legend placed the relic of the Holy Grail. These singular points are: Jaca, El San Juan de la Peña, Bailo, San Pedro de Siresa and San Adrián de Sasabe in Borau.
The fact that the statement by the Vatican fail this year 2015 Jubilee Year for the Holy Grail of Valencia, which is precisely that toured different parts of the region. Likewise, this action is part of the international project "Holly Grail" which recalls the journey of the Grail from different points in Europe to Valencia, through the Jacetania.
The itinerary is integrated both in the field of tourism and sport-horses. Therefore authorization as tourist trail Aragón and also seeks his approval as Equestrian Itinerary by the Spanish Equestrian Federation intended. Both approvals allow greater knowledge and diffusion at regional, national and international level while ensuring adequate standards of quality in the layout and maintenance of the routes.
The itinerary consists of a main path, the path of the Holy Grail, which links in a circular path five singular and three enclaves marked trails or alternative routes that complement the main visiting other sites and points of natural and cultural attractions of the region also worthy to meet and go.
There are a total of 7 stages in the main trail that can be addressed from anywhere, totaling 140 km. stroke and another stage for each of the alternative routes, totaling 90 additional miles of marked trails and conditioners. Together constitute the largest equestrian path length of the peninsula.
In its route crossing 12 municipalities in the region and are close to 27 towns in which users will have different services to meet both riders and horses. The itineraries are designed to approach the points most iconic sights of the Jacetania so its route provides up to 49 sites of cultural heritage, historical and natural attractions of the region. Also in the 12 stages to go through 56 different landscape units defined in this territory.
When the course design has taken into account the appropriateness of using public roads and sidewalks and traditional and well-established paths (like the GRs, PRs and cattle trails). They have sought paths with little or no traffic and recorriesen spaces with high scenic, natural or equity, trying to highlight and promote tourism the main elements of interest in the vicinity of the route. As for their adequacy, a level of affordable and safe routes sought (according to the conditions of the FEI) and can be run autonomously.
Services and support infrastructure available to these itineraries ranging from parking areas trailers in points start / end of day to accommodation for riders, as there are various types of accommodation in a total of 20 cores to along the route plus accommodation in other nearby nuclei. Veterinary services are available to contact companies established equestrian, or Comarcales Agroambientales Offices and as for the necessary water points for livestock are abundant in the territory. These facilities are completed with up to 10 points equestrian planned reception at the beginning / end of each stage with its corresponding fencing, water point and resting place for cattle.

Finally it should be noted that this project is intended to cover the lack of equestrian routes recognized in the region and even in the province and position the region as a leader in Aragon to the exercise of equestrian tourism nationally and internationally.
